Halloween is here! Whether you’re going full Dracula or Donatella, one things for sure: it’s all gotta come off at the end of the night.

You probably already know I love Halloween and makeup, so it’s safe to say I’ve tested my fair share of makeup remover. Here are some of my favorite formulas for getting off highly pigmented eye makeup. I like to gently dab a cotton bud over my eye for about 10 seconds and then slowly wipe away. Never rub harshly!

Here are our costumes from this year, incase you missed it!

THE BEST EYE MAKEUP REMOVERS

When I’m wearing a ton of makeup, Halloween or not, I like to do a double cleanse. This process ensures that not a spot of dirt or grime is left behind. First, grab an oil-based cleanser or a cleansing balm to lift up heavy foundation and creme colors—I like to then wipe off the excess with a warm wash cloth. Then, wash with your regular cleanser—I love SK-II treatment cleanser or Ole Henriksen’s cleansing option get the job done.

THE BEST CLEANSING BALMS

If the thought of a two-step routine sounds just too complicated, stick to a regular old makeup wipe. Sometimes, these handy guys are the best at removing waterproof mascaras that won’t budge. I always keep a pack of Lauren Napier’s Flaunt wipes on hand—they’re the most portable (and easiest!) solution for getting off makeup in a pinch.
