There's a good chance that while you are reading this, I'm burning a candle. I almost always have one burning, be it morning, noon or night. A candle for working out, you ask? Sure, something that's reminiscent of a spa like Lafco's essential oil based option or Uma's Ayurvedic inspired Pure Calm candle that's meant to bring balance and positive energy into your space. A candle for movie night and popcorn? Yep, try Diptyque's cult Baies. Whatever the situation, there's a candle for that. 

Beyond bringing good vibes into my home, candles have a way of bringing back fond memories. Since we had Diptyque's Tuberose burning on every possible surface at our wedding party, it immediately reminds me of a wonderful evening drinking champagne and celebrating with our nearest and dearest on the dance floor. Byredo's Fleur Fantome will forever flood my mind with memories of our old apartment uptown just as one whiff of Jo Malone's Peony & Blush Suede gives me serious nostalgia for the old Conde Nast office at 4 Times Square—it was one of the first things I had on my very first desk as an assistant at Vogue back in 2013.
